How long is recovery after wisdom teeth removal?

I'm supposed to have my wisdom teeth taken out on aug 25. I've got another dr. appointment. on the 28th, 3 days after my surgery, and then I've got to get surgery AGAIN on sept 2nd. Do you guys think I'll be fine. Will having my wisdoms out affect my 2nd surgery??

It really depends on each individual case, whether the teeth were impacted, abscessed, infected, etc.

Personally, I was put under with a general anesthesia and had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time.  Two were impacted and one had a long root that was wrapped around the nerve.  The surgery was at 7:30am.  It didn't take long at all, and I was home by 10:00 or 11:00 am.  By about 3:00 that afternoon, I felt well enough to do a load or two of laundry.  I took pain medication before the pain was unbearable, and didn't have much of a problem, other than a bit of stomach upset from not eating solid food.  I don't even recall being bruised.

My husband had two of his wisdom teeth out at the same time with a local anesthesia, and was in more pain for much longer than I was.  I'm not sure whether it was just a matter of tolerance, or if the different type of anesthesia effects it.  He was also heavily bruised.

That being said, if your second surgery is not by the same surgeon as your first, I'd definately make them aware that you had surgery recently and get their opinion.

It depends on the person. I got all 4 of mine out, 2 were impacted. By the next day I was feeling pretty good, baked cookies with my cousin and even ate a couple. And I was eating normal food after about a week. But it depends on your individual case. Talk to your doctor before the surgery and see what they say.

You are in the wars aren't you, I'm assuming all involved know about these procedures.You should be OK, would make sense to talk it over with your Doctors. Good luck.
