  5. The Grand Canal (Canal Grande) has a length of abt. 4000 linear meters (abt. 4370 yards) and it's crossed by 3 bridges (Ponte di Rialto, Ponte degli Scalzi e Ponte dell'Accademia); a fourth bridge is under construction and will link the railway station to the huge parking (piazzale Roma).
