There are rose plants that are hundreds of years old. Hampton Court in England has a very old rose plant with an enormous trunk like a tree and the branches have been trained to form a huge overhead canopy!! : P

I know my mom had one for over 50+ years, then sold the house, so maybe it is still going.   I agree with "Grandpa" above.....IF properly cared for, it will grow forever.
