However, the salary offered from the B company is quite high from A company. What should i do. Do i have to act that suddenly offer letter from B company drop in front of my boss so that my boss can increase my salary even i'm still in the probation period. 1. It depends on the company - there isn't an exact answer.

  2. You can ask for a raise, and even say why if you want to, but that doesn't mean they'll give it to you - they probably won't.

  3. In Ontario, it's 90 days full-time employment, unless otherwise specified in your employment contract (I think they can go shorter, but not longer).

In Australia, it depends on the size of the company due to Work Choices legislation.

Talk to an employment lawyer is a good idea? Even a 5 min phone call will let you know what it is in your state/country/province.

  4. Take the job with company B. Do not worry about company A probation period.
