I have no freaking idea what to do. I want to put orajel around the area. Can I do this?? My wound has pretty much closed up. Advil doesn't work and that is the strongest pain reliever I can take. How many more hours do I have to go before I feel some freaking relief!?

  1. i have no idea, i think only your dentist would know but since you can't get ahold of him... wait until tomorrow, i guess. kind of a bad situation but hey, that's life.

there's websites online where you can put in your symptoms & they'll tell you how to cope & treat it. just google like, "pain after tooth extraction" or something.

drink lots of water, keep taking the advil & rest as much as possible until you can get ahold of your dentist. eat soft or liquid foods.  feel better soon!

  2. Two advil and two tylenol.  They are different active ingredients and can be used at the same time - just not for an extended period.  If that doesn't work, then go for orajel.

  3. pain for the 3rd day isnt a good sign, afraid u r developing dry socket, which means ur blood clost in the extraction socket failed to be maintained, if so, its a matter of another 2-3 days, then pain is decreasing but dry socket will take longer time

  4. weel pain is a sign of yuour teeth closing and the braces working so about a week or 2 and oull feel better but they tighting your tyeeth every cheack up
