My cousin was prescribed morphine for the past 2 yrs..Suddenly passing away @ 34 yrs old from an overdose of morphine. My concern is she was prescribed morphine for her pain and was taking up to 10 pills a day..How is it possible for her to optain so much morphine in such a short period of time? How can a doctor or pharmacist continue to fill her prescriptions without noticing she had a Habit?..I had surgery 4months ago and my pharmcists gave me c**p for my very needed prescription of lortab refill.. so i am curious, how was it not seen prior to her unfortunate death!?

  1. Is there any chance that she had more than one doctor or pharmacy?  If not, I think these may be questions better asked of a lawyer.

  2. She could have been going from Dr 2 Dr & getting her script filled over the net. Or going 2 a dif pharmacy if you are addicted 2 something people find a way. She could have even been telling her Dr her pain was much worse than it really was. But if that was the case i think they would have put her on a stronger medication. I´m sorry 4 loss its very sad. But as the 1st person said if the same Dr was letting her take such high doses maybe you should go see a lawyer.
