hello everyone,

i bought an item on ebay which cost about $9.00, and it was sent to me thru USPS - Service Type: Priority Mail International® , it said that the package would arrive in 6-10 working days, but im still worried about it, even though its so early, coz i have read all of your insights about the shipment here in the philippines. my questions are:

1. do i have to pay extra charges (taxes) here in the philippines?

2. should i be notified by the local post office that my package has arrived?

3. will it be delivered on the address (which is my home address) i stated to the seller?

4. how many days will i receive the notification, if ever.

or how many days will it be delivered to my address?

  1. 1. You will pay custom duties depending on how much the seller declared in the customs form as the value of the item

    2. You will receive a notice from your postman (a little card) and you will go to your main post office to claim the item. The post office will inspect the item -- e.g. if this is a cell phone for example and the seller declared the value to be  $1 (which is obviously not true), the Philippine post office people typically will charge you what they think the value of the item is

    3. The post office will deliver any mail written to the address -- if the seller put in the correct address

    4. In my experience, priority mail arrives in about 2 weeks in the Philippines. Never in 6 days (I've never had any priority mail arrive in 6 days). In some instances, it arrived in 3-4 weeks

  2. Go onto usps.gov this is the post office website.
