I went to the doctors this morning and was diagnosed with viral Gastroentheritis. The doctor gave me a shot in my hip to make me feel better. It seems to be working really well. Am I still contagious?

I'm 15 btw

  1. THAT'S NOT A WERD YOU ******

  2. I think your vomit and p**p will still contain the germs/virus for a few days so once that has passed through your system you will be ok.  The injection you got was most likely "maxalon" or similar to stop the nausea and vomitting whch is the worst part of this.

Best you stay home and rest for 3 or so days. eat plain foods and lots of water to clear your self out.  Chicken soup is one of my favourites when I have been ill.

Hope you are all better soon.

  3. No unfortunately, there is no cure for a viral disease. The shot the doc gave you is probably a dose of paracetamol, this would only make you feel better but it will do nothing to the virus. Your body's immune system is the only thing that can actually comba the virus. However, it will take a long period of time. And yes, you are still contagious as long as the virus still remain in your body system.

My advice: Take plenty of fluids, rest and don't go to to school until you feel completely well.

I know this sounds kinda bad, but don't worry, you will feel better soon!! And it is a good opportnity to miss school!! hehehehe
