  1. all wines have a preservative in them, most will keep for a week if re corked and in the refrigerator

  2. As good as gone if i can reach it

  3. you mean you save it?

  4. If you are using it for cooking, refrigerate it and it will last almost indefinitely.

For drinking, I'm not sure.  I suppose it depends on how much of a gourmand you are.  :)

  5. Recorked tightly, 3 to 5 days in the fridge or for reds 2 days in a dark cool place.  One of the vacuum sealers for wine bottles will add a couple of days to that.

  6. It depends on the age of the wine, but typically a bottle is good for at least a week after it has been opened as long as it has been re-corked and kept at reasonable temperature.

If it is a current vintage, then it should definitely keep for a week or so. If it is an older vintage, then it should be drank within a day or so after opening or vacuum sealed to protect the flavor. Older vintage wines oxidize quickly.

  7. Traditionally a week is a rough guide. If you refrigerate, recork, use other methods you can extend this, but it will still degenerate.

The wine will  be drinkable for several weeks, but it will lose all of its flavor.
