Whenever someone's calling for you and you yell out "Just wait a moment!"

How long do you mean?

For me, it's around 5 - 10 minutes, but according to my mum it's like, 1 minute, and we frequently fight about it.

  1. 5-10 minutes may seem short to one person but an eternity to another.  I say my moment is worth up to 3 minutes.  I thought I read somewhere that a moment was originally 1 minute and 30 seconds when the term was first made up, but I'm having trouble locating a source to back me up.

  2. However long I decide it to be.

(It really depends who the person is or the situation)

  3. For me it would be around 3 to 5 minutes. But sometimes it may be longer around 10 to 15 minutes. But usually it just around 3 to 5 minutes.

  4. My "moment" is as long as it takes.

Reasonably, I try to keep it as short as possible, as I don't like waiting, myself, and I don't see why I should keep others waiting, unnecessarily.

Of course, I'm no angel, and there are people who I deliberately leave waiting longer than necessary.

One of them in fact, come August 18th, will have been waiting for 23 years.

She said "Call me", I said "I will", and I never did.

I'm sure she's forgotten, by now.

At least, I hope she has...

    ;)

  10. I use to have a lot of patience, as I get older, my moment went from forever ...to seconds. I think it also has to do with my job
