  1. 2 days 20 hours 9 min at average 41.3 knots in 1998 by cat link v. This is a set route for the Blue ribard award which the cruise ships used to compete for. Large super tankers can travel as fast as 30 knots. I sailed the Atlantic and it took us three weeks?

  2. Just under 3 days.

  3. Cat Link was a stunt...a small boat in ideal conditions.....

S.S. United States did it in 3 days and change in the 50's carrying 3,000 passengers and crew; Emma Maersk today can do it in just shy of 4 and carry 10,000 20 foot cargo containers; Queen Mary 2 can do it in just shy of 4 if Cunard wants to burn the fuel......

so there you go...... 3 ships to look up........
