I passed my driving test about a month ago and bought a renault clio last week...i was absolutely buzzing! but we then discovered that there was something wrong with the immoboliser, we took it to renault who charged us £85 to put it on a diagnostic machine...it told us that it was the key that is faulty....SO we need a new key but they can only send off for one (it takes 10 days) once they see the log book etc in MY dads name...as we've only just got the car its still in the previous owners name...does anyone know how long it's gna take for the dvla to send me it back in my name??? (i posted it off today)

i probably won't be able to drive my car for about a month! :( ?

  1. DVLA aim to deal with all change of ownerships if the documents are all correct within six weeks, in practice they are normally returned in about two weeks.
