  1. I would actually saw it down and use a stump remover chemical. Then cover the top with soil. If you have kids or pets around you don't want to poison them. So conger up a way to keep pets and kids away from it.

My son in law tried to remove a bush that has been in the front of his home many years. He bought a new tow chain, and used his auto to try and pull it out. It was in so deep that it actually broke the new chain. It is a wonder that it didn't totally disassemble the auto.

  2. NO image!!!!

  3. it says image not found?

  4. If you are serious about removing the stump by hand and by yourself, it can be done.  Yes, you need to be patient, just keep digging and cutting roots until you can remove it.  Don't try to use your car or you will end up  spending that money you need for other things on repairs.

  5. I would burn it,it's not all that big.

  6. Darn girl,want a job?.

I can't even get men to do that.Your close now start right under that critter for the main root and cut.It should pull over rather easily,I have pulled with a truck before but watch where you tie to (truck).

As always if using a chain keep clear as if it snaps it doesn't care who's in the way.

    Good Luck

  7. Please do not use your car...unless you want that repaired..

You have a couple of options.  Cut it with the chainsaw below the dirt level or get some dry wood and begin the burning process or get the stump remover and wait and wait and wait...or rent the grinding machine.  Dealer and Rental Locations/ see if one's near you.

Edited: if you cut it below dirt level it will rot out eventually just fill the hole back up.

  8. its only because it http://s521.photobucket.com/albums/w337/... .... made a 20 percent mark most likely :P which means space, try going to http://s521.photobucket.com/albums/w337/... and clicking on the folder - I don't think I can post a link here using html.

Oh, and as for the tree stump itself - I cant help you at all.... lol.  But both those links seem to be working that I posted, so click away.  Note : I would have left it long and used it as the base for a table or something interesting in the back yard.  But you can probably rent a forklift or something meant to pull it out - also a tree digger/puller would work too (big truck that comes with 4 big claws that come together).  It'll rip it out in one slice.

  9. When I click on the link 'Page not found' comes up.

    Can't guess without seeing.

I checked out the photos and I'd say you've dug enough.

First I'd ask a neighbor that has a chain saw to cut it below ground level.   If that's not an option, I'd use my sawzall with a 12" blade, to cut it below ground level.

Or at least cut it far enough thru, so it will break easier if you try to pull it out with a vehicle.

If you are going to use a vehicle, a 4x4 truck with a low gear, will do the trick.   I would use a tow strap instead of chain.  Hook one end to the tow hitch (or frame), the other end can be looped and hooked to itself.   Do NOT hook to a bumper, it will just buckle.

    Good Luck
