  1. Hi there... average lifespan for an indoor cat (including pedigrees) is approximately 15-17 years depending on diet and regular veterinary care.  Outdoor cats live a much shorter lifespan due to outdoor dangers.

  2. I had a Birman and he lived for 15 years, he got ill and we had to put him to sleep.
