  1. If you are not employed, all costs and responsibilities are up to you.  Unless you took the insurance continuation and are paying 100% of the medical premiums, you are not covered.

  2. It depends on the company. I work at wal-mart and was only there for 3 weeks before i got pregnant, and i have gotten 12 weeks paid disability leave. Im not scheduled to go back until Sept 29th and even then I will not be there a full year. My full year isnt until the middle of October. They have no time limit on how long you had to be there.

  3. In the US? Most companies want you to be there at least a year before giving birth to qualify for any kind of paid leave. If you work full time and get paid sick and vacation days (and vacation usually doesn't show up till 1 year) you could at least take all your paid sick days at once... but again, I don't see anyone accruing any in just a couple months.

If you need "paid" leave, save money from your check each week to cover your time off.

  4. it all depends on the company. typically you have to have a year in. and in the US, maternity leave is not required so some companies may not pay anything.

  5. Where are you?  In the US, no company has to pay maternity leave.  You are legally allowed to take 3 months off work, but that's unpaid, and you have to have worked for the company for at least 12 months.

Only generous companies actually pay you for maternity leave.

Looks like you are out of luck.

If you are in the US, google FMLA.
