  1. You are right weight is more of an important factor that height when choosing a board. If you are after an All mountain board go for around a 150, for a freeride board around a 152 and for a freestyle board around a 148. So your current board is a little bit long for you really, ideally you would be better off with a smaller board. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

  2. Well I'm about 5'7" and I ride a 154 cm.

And it's still just a couple cm to big for me.

I would go for for maybe a 151-153. You will have better control and it will be sick for riding the park.

  3. I've always been told to hold your board in front of you and it should at least come up to your chin but not past your nose. But also it depends on the type of riding you prefer. If you are more the free-ride back country type you'll want a little bit longer board which will help you float in the powder, but if you tend to stick to the groomed trails, then this rule will work fine, but also if you are a fan of the snowboard park a shorter board is always easier to spin with.
