for five days, i have my contacts in for 10 hours (for school) and i wear my glasses on the weekends. is this enough of a break for my eyes? im kind of a paranoid when it comes to my eyes because i have some eyephobia, anything dealing with eyes or whatever makes me freakout and i dont want an infection or anything so is that a decent amount of time???

  1. That sounds like a good schedule.  Make sure that the lenses are out for at least an hour before you go to sleep.  Going straight from lenses to sleep gives your eyes no time to breathe.

If you are still worried, call up your eye doctor and ask.  He/she could probably give you feedback without having to go in for an exam.

  2. I had the yearly ones and i used them for work every day 8>6 then used my glasses for at night, even on the weekends i would use my contacts.

I had them for 3 years no problems and my eyesight is not getting worse when ido my regular checkups

It all depends on how you clean them and look after them.

  3. whenever i come home from long days of wearing contacts, i feel like my eyes are super dry and they start to get itchy sometimes. Your eyes need oxygen, no matter how good the contact brand is, your eyes need to breathe and your eyesight may not necessarily get worse but your EYE HEALTH will for instance depeltion of your cornea for example. Yeah wearing glasses on the weekend and whenever you come home from school..also make sure you use like eye solution for contacts to keep it moist and not dry. Really hope that helped
