The old adage...When in doubt, throw it out. But they should be good for about a week or so.

I wouldn't go more than a few days. It's on there for a reason.

Open it up and see how it looks.  I use cinnamon rolls and biscuits long after they have expired.  If they look all dried up, don't cook them.  They are actually good for a long time past the expiration date if they have not been opened.
