how long after you ovulate, do you get your period?

i think i got it all mixed up or something.

  1. Normal cycles are 28 days long.

    You have your period Day 1-7 (sometimes shorter for other people)

    You ovulate around Day 13 or 14, so about 15 or so days later you will have another period.

    But remember that eggs can live for 24 hours but sperm can live for up to 3-5 days. So even if you have s*x on Day 9 or 10 when you haven't ovulated, the man's sperm could still be alive inside of you and fertilize your egg once it is ovulated.


  2. Ovulation usually occurs about 14 days before a woman's period begins
