How long should I be playing DDR for?

I just got Max 2 for the ps2, and I was wondering how long should I go for?

Like is 30 minutes to 2 hours a legit workout?

I wanna lose weight, I have a goal which is 170, but I dont know how long I should be on it.

And how many calories does it burn per hour? Anyone know?

I don't remember if Max 2 has it, but just about every console version I've seen of DDR has a special workout section where you input some data (like your age, height, current weight, or something) and it will actually tell you how many calories you're burning as you work out.  (Approximately, at least!)

    Also I think 30 minutes a day is a good workout plan, since that's what is usually recommended for regular workouts.  You can probably add time if you want to keep playing longer, but careful not to overwork yourself, you'll just make your body tired and useless!

    Also maybe it's just me, but it seems to put a lot of stress on the knees.  I read (I believe at mayoclinic.com) that it's especially bad to put stress like that on your knees if you're overweight, so that's another reason to keep your workout to half an hour for now.  (I stomp a lot, maybe that's why it starts to hurt?)

  3. Doesn't DDR have a weight loss option that tells you all that?
