How long should I charge my Canon Powershot SD750 battery for the first time?

I just got it earlier today and the light already turned green but I'm not sure if I should keep it there.

Use the battery power out for the first time, and then fully charge it. This is called a circle. You need to make 3 circles before your regular use.

You should take it off after it turns green...The one thing you dont want to do is over charge it because it will kill your battery and then they will cost you nearly half of the camera. So i would stop charging it after it turns green
