I have a stationary bicycle in my home, and since I have a busy schedule this month and quite possibly the next, it is going to be the only piece of exercising equipment I'll be able to use. How long should I exercise every day to at least tone my legs?

  1. It depends on the level you have the bike at. If you don't have it set to a strenuous level (like uphill) then you need to do it longer. I'd say 30-45 minutes is fair.

  2. until you are tired, or an hour at least

  3. probably around 24 hours and 7 minutes

  4. Actually, it's more of a question of how as much as how much.

If you want to tone your legs, then try this.  Warm up with easy tension and higher rpm's for ten minutes.  Then do crank up the tension, slide your butt back on the seat, and grind for thirty seconds, the easy for thirty seconds.  Do this ten times, then cool down for ten minutes.  Thirty minute workout.

Or do the same workout, but stand up on the pedals instead of sliding your butt back.  Both of these exercises will target your legs.

Do that workout twice in a week.  The other days, do the warm-up, then spin it up for twenty minutes, the cool down.

    Take care.  Have fun.
