  1. Most people want to lose weight fast, say working out for a month. Then they stop because it' boring, there friends don't want to exercise or they achieved their goal. Then they get mad when they gain the weight again. Make your workout a fun lifestyle  so you stay on track. If as a child you  liked to play basketball or ride a bike or swim do it, this should keep you on track for life. Go back to what's FUN for you. I prefer running or biking because you don't depend on anybody but yourself to get your workout.

  2. I'm a pretty thin framed guy, but I was never able to lose my spare tire or take any inches off my waist line just running for 20-30 minutes 4 or 5 days a week, unless I starved myself. I really believe you need about an hour a day, while eating sensibly, but not too strict and drinking plenty of water to shed it. Once you get to where you want to be, then you can probably just back it down to the normal 20- 30 minutes.

  3. You burn about 80 calories per mile walking and 100 jogging or running . Your cardio will improve after about 25-30 minutes so at least that much. 3-4 times a week. I like to run before I go  to subway so I can prepay for the calories I will consume during the meal. As long as you run a calorie deficit youll lose weight.Dont becomediscouraged if you dont start dropping immediately. Sometimes youll gain a little muscle and lose a little fat. It doesnt show up on the scale but you can see it in the mirror. Good Luck.If you get bored on the treadmill take it to the street. Theres alot more to see and it will make the miles go by faster.

  4. i am 29 yrs, 5'5, and months ago, i was 220 lbs, after 3 months of strict food diet and exercise, i am now 160 lbs. When i started the exercise program, i was doing cardio(bicycle and treadmill) for 15 mins each on the 1st week.  every week, i added 15 minutes. starting on my 2nd month until now, i run on the treadmill for an hour 3x a week.

you just have to remember that if you really would like to lose weight, you also have to watch the food you eat. I know a lot of friends who exercises too much but eats unhealthy food at irregular intervals, then complains about not losing weight.

my advice is for you to keep a track of the the food you eat, but never, never starve yourself and exercise regularly.

just have fun, and you'll be surprise when you've already achieve your target weight.

    goodluck to you...

  5. one hour per day on the treadmill......WALKING. not running, but if you want to run, RUN HARD FOR 20 minutes and walk for 40
