Question:

How long should I use back up protection?

I barely started taking birth control pills(today actually) and I wanted to know how long I should use back-up protection for until the bc pills actually work efficiently?This is my first time taking any form of b.c and I got the Nortrel pills,any advice? Oh and does anyone know any common problems they've had with these pills? thanks! much appreciated

  1. They say for the first month you're on them, but if I were you I would use back up protection everytime (STD reasons, and the pill fails sometimes).  


  2. For thr first month just to be safe.

  3. when i went to the doctors and they gave me birth control (the pill) they said a week. when i got the shot they said 24 hours.

  4. At least one month... but really you should ALWAYS use a condom.
