I was offerred a position after my interview last week. I got an official we would love for you to come on board and we will extend an offer to you via Human Resources!

That was 3 days ago.. and I am watching my cell phone and email like a hawk. Nothing. At what point to I place a call or email to follow up?

  1. I would wait about a week and then follow up with a polite email or phone call. It is possible there was a mis-communication with HR.

p.s don't quit your current job until the offer is in writing.

  2. Give them a little more time.  Chances are they're dealing with applicants for other jobs in the company.

  3. Yes, that is a long time. Call up and ask to speak to someone in HR. Tell them that the person you interviewed with indicated that an offer was forthcoming several days ago and you just wanted to check the status.

  4. I would give them a call, and follow it up. I dont see why they would take so long to call you.
