How long should I wait before checking with head-hunter again?

A headhunter company contacted me about a job I was applying, saying they will forward my cv to the company where the actual job is and that the company will contact me for an interview. It's been 3 days and I have heard nothing. I don't want to be pushy but I don't want to miss out an opportunity of a job I really want. I want to call the headhunter company to check things out. How long should I wait before doing that? Thanks!!!

Give them a week, then send them a "follow-up" email asking on the status.  The hiring process is slow and drawn out, so don't get discouraged if you haven't heard anything for three days.

head hunters aren't very useful or reliable.  They are really just sales people.  try contacting the person in HR of the company you are applying to instead.
