Question:

How long should I wait for baby #2?

I have an almost 7 month old daughter and I've already started thinking about baby #2. My question is, what is the best amount of time to wait between babies when you had a C section with the first and will most likely have a C section with the second (due to a very narrow pelvis)? I know that C sections take longer to heal and I've heard things about scar tissue, but I don't really know anything about that. Please share your experiences. Thanks!

  1. I would say have a baby when you are ready. C sections heal depending on the person. You and your doctor should talk about this because he should check to see if you're healing nicely, and he'll let you know if your uterus is safely able to carry another child with lower risks of a tear.

  2. I think most doctors recommend waiting a year before the next pregnancy.  But, I have heard of women who get pregnant as early as 7 months after having one.

I guess it depends on your body and how well you heal.

  3. i read it takes two years for your body to be back to "normal" as far as c section not sure.

  4. the doctors usually say to wait two or three years but in my personal opinion 3 to 4 is the best for the first child that way the first born doesnt need u as much and is a little bit more understanding
