How long should I wait to call for a follow up?

Ok today I turned in an application to the manager at Marshalls. I was just wondering, would it be kind of pushy if I called tomorrow? And if not what should I say when I follow up? I really really need a job and I've been looking all summer. (Since early may) So please help me score my first job!

Well i would wait a week or two and call them up and say, that you are still interested in the position, and wondered if they had a chance to review your application and if there is any other information they need from you, like extra references and so on. I like when potential applicants call, it shows they are interested and would do anything to get the job they want.
