Question:

How long should I wait to get snake bites?

I got my tongue pierced about 5 days ago and now I want snake bites. Not right now at this very moment but I was thinking about getting it done when I go to get a shorter barbell put in my tongue next week. Should I wait till my tongue is completely healed before I do that or what?

Also, the jewelry in my tongue seems to be "sinking" into my tongue. And when I say sinking I mean it looks like I didn't even get it done and I even have to poke it threw in the mornings when I get up. Is that normal or should I call the place where I got it done?

  1. i say that u wait till ur tongue completely heals(2-3 months) then get the snake bites. about the tongue ring you should call the place and tell them.

  2. Sounds like your barbell might be too small to accommodate for the swelling. I'd suggest waiting until the swelling goes down completely if you want a short barbell. Other than that, you might need to go to parlor and ask your piercer for a longer barbell. As for the snake bites...with an open wound in your mouth already, the healing process for them could take longer than usual. Since all the white cells are rushing to your tongue.

I'd suggest waiting for a bit. Or just getting a single side lip done first. Then again after about a month or two for the other side.

    Good luck! ^_^
