How long should a AA size NIMH battery last? When is it time to replace it?

The ones I have are 3 years old and only power my cd player for 1 1/2 hours at the most. Maybe too old?

  1. I think it is time to replace it. Rechargeable batteries life will also depende on the charging and discharging cycle. The more you recharge it, the shortage its life should be.
