How long should a Manx cat be left alone?

I've been thinking about getting a Manx cat, but I have school for about 6-7 hours every weekday, and the house will be all empty. Would that affect the cat in any way?

I've had a manx cat for three years now, and I'm a student full time. She stays home from 7:00am-3:30pm and the only problem when I get home is her being a cuddly little thing :)

She actually watches me leave in a window, and when I return shes in the same window, so after a while your cat might become used to your schedule and know when your leaving and coming home.
