How long should a book take to read?

im feeling down cause people said that im a slow reader.whats the normal speed and how long does a book should it take to read

it depends on the person. i say it sould take about 1 to 4 days to read about a 500 to 800 page book

depends on how long the book is.

I know alot of people that are slow readers and alot of fast readers... it doesnt' really matter, both have been successful as far as I can tell... i even know people with a grade 5 reading level that are successful.... don't feel bad!

It depends on the person---meaning their eyesight, the lighting they're reading in, how distracting the environment is for them, and how quickly they can comprehend the words they're reading. That means that depending on how difficult the book is, you'll most likely read is slower if the level is above you. Also, it depends on how long the book is and how much it interests you, as well as how much experience you have reading books. A thirty year-old bookworm is much more likely to read a book faster then a small child who is inexperienced with reading, for example.

Reading slowly isn't a bad thing, and for many people this means comprehending a book better than someone who read it quickly. A lot of times you will understand things better. I tend to think and come up with answers faster than anyone I know, but I read books at a medium pace or else I won’t remember what I read.
