How long should a customer have to wait for an item thatwas on sale and the store only had floor model on site

My sier has ordered an item from a large store and after she paid for it the sales clerk said they had none in stock.The promised delivery date was just around Father's Day She is at the pint she is thinking about canceling the order.This was in Ontario, Canada.

It depends what the item is and when she wants it or needs to have it! And i don't know how long it is till fathers day in Canada. It has past here in the USA.
