How long should i charge it for?.....

Question

I just bought a new HP laptop (model: HP G6093EA) it doesn't say how long i should charge it for!?

Does anyone know:;

How long a should charge it for its first time?

And

How long i should charge it for thereaftrer when the battery dies?

It will have a light on it which changes as it is charging and when it becomes fully charged.  Often it flashes as it is charging and goes green when fully charged.

These days you do not need to let the bettery die before recharging it - many people take their power lead with them and work on the laptop with it plugged into the power most of the time.

Laptops can and should stay plugged in unless your going somewhere with it either in the house or somewhere else. In order to check the level of your battery look at your system tray at the bottom of your screen you will see a picture of your battery and if you roll your cursor over it you will see what the status of it is.

I Would Charge It Atleast Overnight Just To Build Up Battery Or Something, Thereafter Just Until The Light Signals It Is Charged! Hope I hELPED =]

contrary to popular belief, its best to leave in the power cable when using youre laptop, the laptop knows when its fully charged, and power goes directly into the laptop and the battery is ignored,you can run a laptop without its battery. Should only take about an hour and a half to charge.

For a while,,,then its good for awhile,,
