How long should i leave a tampon in??

my period has been wierd. the first day it was REALLY heavy and since then for the past 2 days its been light. i've been on it for 4 days now and 2morrow will eb the 5th day and it suusally only lasts days and were going on the lake so i'll be wearing a tampon but its preolly going to be very light. so would it be ok to wear the tampon for 6 hours? i wont be near a bathroom on the lake?

wear a light tampon then. you should wear it for 6-8 hours.

i usually take my tampons off after 4 hrs but if u no that its gonna be light then u can do that

Doctors and specialist recommend that you leave a tampon in for no more than 6 hours.

It is fine if you take it out after 8 hours. I sometimes sleep with a tampon as long as I take it out as soon as I get up.

The longer you leave it in, the more blood it will soak up and may be a bit comfortable when it comes to pulling it out.

Yes. Generally you shouldn't leave one in for longer than 8 hours, so you should be fine with 6 if you are expecting a light flow.

You should not have it on all day and to be honest you should avoid using them everyday. On your light days us pads as much as possible. You'll change more but, it is much better. But, if you have to wear a tampon change everytime you use the restroom and no more than 4-6 hours.
