How long should i swim laps in a pool?

this is to lose weight or get more in shape. also, what does swimming in a pool really do for your body?

  1. Swimming works virtually every muscle in your body. I personally do about 20-30 laps a day, taking short breaks between every few laps. It will help you lose weight, ESPECIALLY if you change your eating habits too. I haven't been swimming very long but I'm already noticing more defined back, tricep, and shoulder muscles and a flatter tummy. I'd recommend swimming for everyone, not just to lose weight.   2. haaay, i swim and its real good for cardiovascular fittness, it helps strengthn your legs and arms and stomach.

    my warm up is normally 1km but if ur beginning just a couple of hundred. mix up your strokes from backstroke, freestyle, breastroke and when ur good good butterfly. Butterfly is real good to strengthn arms, legs and stomach.

    i recon for ur full training u could do between 800 - 1000m

    which isnt that much, you can have as long a break between to have a breather but yeah,
