i've been given Genoptic (a doctor, but not an opthamologist) because the white part of my eyes have been a bit veiny and the white part that covers the pupil has been red. the reason i think is red is because ive been changing contact lens lately to see which one i like best. i have not been wearing contact lens for a little over a week now and have been using Genoptic. i was first given chloromycetic eye drops but my eyes felt really gritty, so the doctor gave me Genoptic.

I was wondering how long should i use this eye drops for..i dont see any changes with my eyes in the last five days..

  1. YOu should never use any antibiotic longer than 10 days without your doctor checking things out. Call the office and see what they say.  Do not leave this to us bozos in here. Call your doctor!
