i just got mine. shes a baby and about 8-10 inches. she seemed very calm when i first got her into her cage and explored the whole thing freely and she ate without hesitation so it seems she's a pretty fast adjuster but i dont know for sure.

  1. Well corn snakes are usually always good eaters so you shouldn't have to wait that long. Maybe 2-3 days. And I would recommend 2 days after eating just to be safe of not throwing up her food. But you shouldn't have much problems with her though. Cornsnakes are one of the easier snakes to care for compare to others. I gave my corn snake 3 days to settle before doing anything with him. He is still an excellent eater until this day! =]

I hope this help a little bit.

  2. when i got my baby  kingsnake i didn't handle him for about 6 or 7 months...except of course to put him in a feeding tub to eat.  i didn't want to run any risk of him getting away and getting lost in the house.being so little i was afraid that if he got lost we would never find him.  now he is older and bigger and he gets handled all the time...hes a great little snake.

    good luck!

  3. Un-Officially, it's at least 48 hours. And 24 after each meal.

  4. You should leave them for 7-10 days just going in to spot clean and change the water. They need a bit of time to adjust to the new surroundings and smells and vibrations.Dont keep her in a busy part of the house but somewhere nice and quiet. Why have you fed her already??.Dont handle for another 6 days at least and once this settling in period is up and you feed her, never pick up until 48hrs after she has eaten. This will ensure she doesn't get stressed and re-regurgitate her food.

Just because she did eat means nothing and is no indication whatsoever of how she is adjusting.Handling and feeding so quick can lead to problems further down the line.
