i just stretched to 00g last week about and i usually wait at least a month before i change the jewelry to something better or something, but i try not to take them out at all for a long time.

i want to put in some new silicone plugs for some performances im doing starting the 13th and for every weekend till the end of november.(but i wouldnt take them out that soon)

how long should i wait before changing to the new plugs, at least?

i can put them in so that i always have something in my ear, like when you get a new piercing and you slide the jewelry in right behind the needle, but i want to do it as soon as possible without it being bad for my ear since ill be performing for hundreds of people.

  1. If a stretch goes well, generally a couple weeks is good to change the jewelry.  Stretching causes micro tears of the skin, that tend to heal pretty quickly, but need that extra few months to become strong/thick enough to be torn again through another stretch.  Changing jewelry should be fine.

With silicone though, definitely lube the jewelry and your ear up before inserting it,  Silicone is pretty dry and can get stuck to your skin really easily.  Especially since they're double flared.  Silicone is one of those materials that should be oiled on a regular basis.

    EDIT:

Forgot to add, that since they're double flared (assuming, as most silicone plugs/eyelets are), it may take just a little longer for your ears to loosen up enough to get them in.  I'd suggest doing massages (oil or no oil) to loosen them up quicker.
