How long should i wait to work out again?

when you work out for the first time how many days apart should training sessions be?

  1. First..what type of training are you talking about..Aerobic or strength?  With Aerobic..depending on the intensity level I would think you could do everyday.  With strength training..they tell you to give your muscle groups a day rest inbetween workouts to give them a time to heal and repair.  


  2. Every other day.

    Make sure you're stretching plenty in between also so you don't pull/tear any muscles.

    If you're just doing one part of the body (upper or lower), it should be lifted every other day. If you switch between upper and lower body daily, you can lift every day.

    Sorry, I forgot. If you're running, you can run every day but make sure you're drinking plenty of water and stretching. If you get too sore, take a day or two off and then start again.
