How long should it be before your phone dies from time and has faults?

BATTERY  LIFE  - if you get to where it doesnt hold a charge anymore  even with NEW batteries- time for a new phone

If you are having problems - try that otherwise Replace it/

I have had a phone for 5 yrs that works fine -it may depend on use and abuse -lol

Maybe your carrier has a plan for upgrades after 2 yrs

check into it
