How long should it take for a positive to show up after conception?

Just curious about this... I had s*x with my husband July 6th, then again on the 13th[pull out method].. due to get my period july 21st..I never got it, so 4 days after my missed period I took a pregnancy test, it was negetive. the next morning I took another it was still negetive. Have I waited long enough in between to take a test or should I wait longer before I take another? Also can you get pregnant in the same month as your expected period? [I've been really crampy lately and tired i know those are signs but im confused if it may be my period coming, i dont really remember my first pregnancy well] thnx

my husband and i successfully concieved on May 29th, we didnt recieve a positive HPT until June 19th... so exactly three weeks for us. It was two days after my missed period, we took an HPT the day before i missed my period and both days after, it was not until the third attempt i saw both lines. Goodluck.

I would say test again tomorrow morning.  It is possible you may have ovulated later in your cycle, so your period is not even late yet.  Goodluck and baby dust to you!!

My period was due the 22ND of July i tested and i have had negatives up until this Friday,~

Blood test on Monday confirmed i was pregnant,maybe like me you ovulated later and that's why they are negative you should be able to test tomorrow and get your BFP good luck Hun!!!
