How long should it take for an item to get here from Canada?

Question

I ordered an item on Ebay from a reputable seller. It shows it went out with Canada Post on 7/18 and was shipped out to the US on 7/22. I live in Georgia. Should it take this long? I did purchase insurance on the item...what should I do now? I have emailed the seller, is it his responsibility to file an investigation? Please help, this is a lot of $$ were talking about.
