How long should it take sending an item to Chile from the UK?

It's an airmail small packet.

It usually takes at least a couple of weeks, probably about 3 or 4 on airmail. I would send it recorded delivery if you send anything of value, don't wanna scare you cos most packages get there but last year my mum sent a medium sized package and it took 8 months to get there!!!! It was a one off though, had never happened before, and in the end we were just glad that the stuff eventually got there :)

It all depends on what service you pay for - anything from overnight to weeks on a ship.
