I have been waiting for over a month and a half, and was wondering if there was anything that could be done to speed up the process? Apparently it has to go to the CEO and directors etc....

  1. not a problem,  was it verbal or have a letter of confirmation...????

when its finally done you need to have it backdated from the day or end of the last month when it was said.

i.e  if the meeting was 15 th, then from the end of that month, keep chasing the person who told you !!

  2. It can take a while to go process, the larger the company the longer it can take.

But the last person was correct, be sure they back date your raise from the date it was issued.  Be sure to keep a letter or documentation of it.

If it was a verbal raise, the first thing I would do is ask for it in writing.

  3. once it has been agreed by top dogs then it should be immediate

  4. me being cynical would say your being played, pay rises take no time at all to come back. It only takes time when someone doesn't want to authorise it...

  5. If it is a large company, and you are high up, it should be done within the board of Directors meetings, since it must be authorized by the Board. But this is highly unlikely. Any Director or senior manager of the company can do so, and if stocks is involved as a reward, they can put in a clause "subject to the approval of the Board".

So, I suggest you to have a heart-to-heart chat with your direct supervisor.

Be prepared to counter the outcome.
