How long should it take to get a UK passport if you file it at the post office?

  1. It depends which service you use.

    The standard service (£72) is quoted as 3 weeks, but is not guaranteed (ie: it could take longer).

    The Check & Send Two week service (at selected post offices) is usually two weeks or less, but may be more at peak times.

    However, the times are usually a LOT FASTER than this. I know people who have used the standard 3 week service and had their passports literally within a few days.
