How long should it take to recieve your registration card, after completing form?

My cousin just registered to vote for the 1st time about 2 wks ago, but he didn't ask how long would it take for him to receive his card that tells him where to vote. He wasn't able to vote for city mayor, b/c he waited too late to register & he wants to make sure he can vote for President (Nov) & during mayor run-off (Sept).

Should have the card within 3 weeks. Don't really need the card to vote, your name is on a voter list, it's more like a  receipt
