i was cutting the grass yesterday and got stung 2 or 3 times on the leg. once on my upper calf and once on my lower leg for sure. now i have no idea if it was a bee/wasp/yellow jacket. i wasn't bothered at all until i woke up in the middle of the night and i couldn't stop itching. i tried every home remedy i could find online to try to make it stop with no avail. after awhile i finally got back to sleep but when i woke up its still driving me crazy. any idea how long it should be before it stops? its driving me crazy

  1. my dad always use to put chewing tabaco on it and it seemed to help, also you may try to squeeze it and the place some drawout sav on it!!

  2. I have been keeping honey bees for several years now and i feel pretty confident about answering this one. Some form of benidryl or antihistamine will help with the itching and possibly the swelling if taken soon after the sting. You will receive lots of input about thinngs like meat tendorizer, tobacco, baking soda an other topical treatments. they are all just wives tales. I have tried and they none seam to work. the venom of a wasp is different than that of a honey bee. a honey bees venom is an irritant used to defend the hive while a wasps venom is used to kill its prey. My best advice is to not rub or scratch and let it run its course. it is normal for it to be sore for a coupel of days.multiplel stings a day or so longer

  3. i got stung bad by a wasp last year, think wasps are the worst. it itched me for a couple of days, its the poison. irritating

maybe go tot he doctor if you were stung a few times though, or it could get quite bad.
