How long should my ferret's walk be?

We walk around the yard whenever the weather isn't too hot. How long should I take him out?

20 minutes should be about the minimum. They love getting exorcise. If you're going to have it outside more then 40minutes you should probably have a dish of water out there as well as running around can be pretty tiring. :]

A ferret doesn't need to be walked like a dog.  It's small enough that running around your home will exercise it.  Ferrets should get at least 3-4 hours out of cage time EVERY DAY.

I hope you have a flea treatment on this ferret or it's VERY likely that it's going to pick up fleas from outdoors.  Advantage for Small Cats and Kittens can be used safely on ferrets.  Do NOT use any off the shelf products.  They're dangerous to cats and can be FATAL to ferrets.

ferrets dont tend too walk ona lead, they take you for a walk dragging you different directions lol, if your ferret is more investigating then walking long distances then he can be out there until you or him get bored. if you take him for a walk everyday he will gradually start too walk on a lead properlly, if i was you just take him out until he gets tired that way he wont be bombing around the place when you get back and be more relaxed and cuddly. your ferret will tell you when hes tired by asking to be picked up, if you take him out reguarly you will start too learn his limits..
