Question:

How long should my jay be hurting while my wisdom teeth come in?

My top wisdom teeth are coming in, especially in my right side. The gums are tender, however it's not a huge issue. My jaw on the other hand, hurts pretty bad. Only on the right side. I can barely open my mouth, and eating is a huge task. I literally cannot open my mouth wide enough to eat a bread roll. I know I need to see a dentist or doctor, but I do not have insurance at the moment nor the money, I am working on it. How long should I expect this to go on? Is there a possibility that the pain will go away? I will go to the dentist even if the pain goes away, but it can't be done immediately. I was just hoping that the pain will go away once the teeth have grown in a bit more.

  1. the pain will probably go on until the teeth have fully come in and mabey even until they are removed.  its commen for your mouth to be sore and even your your gums to hurt... (when mine came in my mouth swelled up until they were all the way in)  the problem with the jaw is what you should be worried about.  when your that sore there is something wrong.  so i would say the minute you can go to a dentist .. go...(but i do understand with no insurance/money it can be hard to do alot)

  2. It usually varies from person to person may be this should help subside the pain a bit. Gargle a mixture of salt and warm water or gargle a shot of whiskey or rum for curbing pain due to  teething "wisdom teeth".
